Organizing For

Food Justice

Food Plug Project is an organization based in South Florida working to fight food injustice at the local and national level. Through our educational content, community discussions, and healthy food distribution, we're working to improve public health in our communities and bring awareness to food insecurity and it's intersections with other movements such as climate change, racial justice, LGBTQ+ justice, housing, healthcare, sacred land rights, etc.

Many people of color have lost or forgotten native practices, knowledge, and connection to the earth; our goal is to each other reclaim by creating access through resources and more.

Our vision for Food Plug is to set our roots in a beautifully lush, food-bearing permaculture farm sanctuary as the home of our organization, growing nutritious foods to feed local families in surrounding neighborhoods, providing access to green space where all can connect with nature and it's abundance.

Food systems

Increasing access to real food, we're enriching the soil and health of our community, simultaneously combatting a system rooted in oppression.

Knowledge shouldn't have a price tag, which is why we host free workshops and programs ranging in everything from green energy to planting a seed.

Policy Change

We aim to serve and reclaim spaces for historically marginalized folks of color. We can't do this, however, without reforming policy to be inclusive and just.

community building

Serving the community, we strive to do so in the most efficient way possible, transitioning into a green, resilient, self-sustaining & fair economy.
